On this second project I did a landscape of a picture I took of Mt. Rainier. I used pastels to create texture with balance all over the narrative drawing. This project was more of a Classical landscape.
In this still life of my soccer cleats I used graphite/colored pencil to use color to create emphasis on the cleats. The cleats were very bright and I used the complimentary color in the background to make it standout even more. It was more symbolic to make the cleats standout and show that they are the main importance of the drawing.. And it was a more classical drawing. This project is 3 impressionist landscape drawings. We had to focus on getting the different shades and all of the color that shows in the picture, but also in a semi quick time like the impressionists. With the oil pastels I had to give the drawings depth and different shading to show the different times of day that I took the photos. We really had to focus on the depth and shading to creates different forms and shapes. This project is a 3/4 self portrait. In the final we really had to focus on the shape and components of the face, to get a realistic face. Then with the oil pastels had to really give the face shape and depth with shading. We focused on depth, accuracy, and creating forms with the pastels. |
